To Capture her Heart

Another picture for the Sci-Fi Contest on #SessKag. I also wanted to make one for the next picture in my 100 picture challenge. So this was also made for Number 3: Light.

100 Theme ChallengeDate Started: Thursday, April 28th, 2012
So, yesterday I came home and saw that my good friend, ~wistful-moon was coloring on her tablet. Upon closer inspection I realized she was making a picture for the first theme in the 100 theme challenge, Introduction. I watched her complete it and it really put me in the mood to draw so I was excited to hear that she was going to do another before going to sleep. So I grabbed my sketchbook and joined her. So, once again I am working on the 100 theme challenge and I will be creating all new deviations to submit for it. And, for the love of god, I WILL get through it this time. Once again I will be putting up links to any deviations I know of for people doing the challenge so if you want to participate, just let me know and I will add your submissions to my list. The rules are: You may post ANY type of creative piece for any theme in this challenge. It does not matter what (traditional, digital, sculpture, literature, etc),

This idea behind this one goes as follows: Kagome is possessed by the Shikon No Tama and it has transformed her into an ascended being. Under its influence, she is now the ruler of the floating city behind her in a conquest for universal domination. Sesshomaru tried to save her, but is unsure if he can. If he does fail, he is left with the difficult decision to end her life and save the universe.

Again, I am left feeling like this picture ended up way too dark. In both theme and technique, hopefully my next one will be a little better since I still have the rest of the month to submit one more entry. I'm also horrible at buildings and clouds which I feel brought this down a little. And I had such a good start, too. I do REALLY like the way Kagome turned out in this one. She's my favorite part of this whole piece.
