Child of Mine

Just a 20 min sketch of FanArt for the Movie MAMA. The idea is that she is haunted by the memory of her lost child and seeks out a replacement, but she she has no concept of the reality going on around her. In this picture, she isn't aware the child she has is no longer living and she still clings to it in desperation. I will not say which of this was inspired by the movie and which is my own deviation, as to prevent any spoiler alerts. I ask that if you've seen the movie, that you do not comment about it below without adding !SPOILER ALERT! to the post.

Overall, I really like it for a sketch which is why I wanted to upload it. It is intentionally dark as I feel it adds to the haunted nature of the concept (Even if it makes it a little hard to see). I really like the way the hair turned out, despite being so crazy. It actually worked out the way I wanted it to. I only used a regular mechanical pencil for this one instead of my set. 'Cause it was just a sketch and wasn't intended to be uploaded for viewing. *shrug*
